Athens Café is owned and operated
by M&F
Culinary, Inc. It is a family owned corporation with over
55 years of experience in all facets of the food service
business. Monica Day, President, has over 20 years experience,
working in several restaurants, managing a private golf
club establishment, and for the past 10 years has been
the manager of a full service private school cafeteria.
Monica has also worked for the Orlando Diocese catering
private functions, as well as running the food operations
for their summer bible study camps. Frank Day, Vice President,
has over 30 years experience in the food service department
at a major, local theme park, where he has worked as a
chef, catering supervisor, director, corporate purchasing
manager, and for the past 20 years as Vice President of
Culinary Operations. In addition, he has served as President
on both the local and state level of the Florida Restaurant
Association, with seven years experience on their executive
committee. Nicole Day, Director, has over 5 years experience
in various local operations, both front and back of the
house for major chain restaurants as well as privately
owned smaller operations, including full service catering.
The vision for Athens Café, by M&F Culinary,
is to maintain the local friendly atmosphere that has made
it popular among its regulars for many years. The food and
menu will remain substantially the same; serving the same
great products that it received its fine reputation. Monica
and Frank intend to infuse the existing menu with new and
exciting specials, and concentrate on using quality products
to maintain and upgrade the quality of food, service, and
atmosphere at Athens Café.
